The Ontario Craft Beer Guide

The first edition of the Ontario Craft Beer Guide, co-written with Jordan St. John and published by Dundurn Press, comprises biographies, tasting notes, and ratings for nearly 200 breweries in the province of Ontario and provides consumers with a firm and realistic footing on what they can expect while drinking in the province.

Because doing it once wasn't enough for us, we then went on to write the third edition, which had us revisit the breweries we checked last time and adding a number of brand new ones, making the total number a little more than 300.

I'm not going to lie, writing both of these books was both challenging and gratifying. The project involved the two of us splitting the province between us and travelling all over Ontario to visit the breweries and try their beer in person. All without a driver's licence.

Stupid? Unquestionably. But it was an experience I wouldn't trade for anything in the world.
